"I was appointed by the Navy memorial foundation to take control of the design and coordination of the sculpture walls. I produced 6 reliefs and selected 9 sculptors for the other 20. Thomas More at St. Thomas School of Law
Sculpture by Leo Irrera

A new statue of St. Thomas More is now in place as the centerpiece of the Schulze Grand Atrium at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. "The statue is a powerful statement for our vision for this law school and for the kind of servant leaders we are educating,” said Dean Thomas Mengler.

Carved from the finest Carara marble, the statue itself stands seven feet tall and weighs just less than 5,000 pounds. With a pedestal underneath it, the artwork measures 10 feet. It stands just to the left of the Frey Moot Courtroom.

The statue was formally dedicated on February 7, 2005.
