10’ X 8’ Bronze and Stained Glass

Proposal: This can be designed for use as an outdoor wall, a gate, or a window.

This project as well as the “Stations of The Cross” was developed for St Marks Church in Hyattsville, which was planning a renovation.  Unfortunately the renovation never came about.  They decided to build a new church instead.  In the meantime the artists Leo Irrera who was responsible for the design and sculpture and Father Leo Pelkington a stained glass artist were caught up in the idea of having the entire book of Mark in one design in a new technique that they decided to continue as a labor of love hoping that a future client would feel equally strong about the idea.

(The U. S. Navy Memorial Foundation found the combination of sculpture and stained glass so attractive that it commissioned the artists to produce a memorial window for the World War II Submarine Service )
